Founded as 'Hummock Hill- in 1901. Renamed 'Whyalla' in 1920.

Vibrant, colourful view of Whyalla Foreshore from the top of Hummock Hill. From this view you can see the sunny blue sky and Spencer Gulf water. The tide is going out over white sands. You overlook a road leading downto a lookout with cars. In the distance there is grass, trees, Ada Ryan Gardens, a playground and surf club. In the further distance, beyond the mangroves is Mount Young on the horizon.
